Coral Sea Marine Park

The Great Barrier Reef, in the Coral Sea, has since 1975 been listed as a Marine Park and a World Heritage site since 1981.

There are now calls by Marine Groups to create another Marine Park adjacent to the Reef Park which would incorporate all of the Coral Sea, almost one million square kilometers.

Today Jess Wingard spoke with Daisy Barham, Coral Sea Campaigner with the Australian Marine Conservation Society and asked her ‘why such a large area is proposed’?
