Late last year a euthanasia bill introduced in the Upper House by Greens MLC Mark Parnell was defeated. Currently the Lower House has begun debating a different model proposed by member for Ashford, Steph Key.
A vote on the debate is expected sometime later this year, but it already appears to have found supporters from Health Minister John Hill and Opposition health spokesman Duncan McFetridge.
Tom Changarathil spoke with Labor MP Steph Key, and asked her how this model differs from those presented in the past.
