SCOSA, or the Spastic Centres of South Australia, provide services and support for people with disabilities by developing and promoting the potential of people with disabilities through individual choice, community inclusion and meaningful participation. SCOSA is committed to creating fun and engaging activities, leading to enhanced social and life skills for their clients, enabling them to extend their capacity to contribute to families and communities. Volunteering is a great way to contribute to your community, and is a fantastic way to meet new people, learn new skills, gain personal satisfaction and, most importantly, have fun. SCOSA is celebrating international Volunteers Week and it is reminding people there are many different ways to help out. Opportunities for individuals, business, and students, include assisting at their Hubs, at events, or with administration and sporting events. Jess Wingard was joined by SCOSA CEO Nicole Graham, and Jess asked her why volunteers are so important.
