While the election certainly seems like a long time ago, the Senate change over, which will give the Greens the balance of power, takes place this week.
This comes after the news that Tony Abbott now outranks Julia Gillard on the preferred Prime Minister poll, with the carbon tax being seen as a cause for the drop in Labor support.
The Liberal party is not without its own problems however, as former minister Peter Reith has hit out at the opposition leader and has pledged his support for bringing back WorkChoices.
To help us make sense of all of this, Jess Wingard spoke to Clem McIntyre, Head of The School of History and Politics at The University of Adelaide, who told us how a Greens Balance of Power will change Australian Politics.
