The Australian vessel the “Sea Shepherd” has got its three crew members back off that Japanese Whaling ship.
But the protestor’s actions have divided public opinion – with some angered by their antics and others defending their right to stick up for endangered species.
This comes as the Federal Government fights calls from the Greens to act on illegal whalers, who claim their actions to be purely scientific, even when proven otherwise.
Professor Donald Rothwell of the ANU College of Law has studied the legalities surrounding whaling for many years and Tim Brunero asked him about the seasonal aspect of whaling.
