It may come as a surprise to many of us that shock experiments, that is, administering electric shocks to people, were used at La Trobe University in Melbourne during the 1970s.
However a new book, ‘Behind The Shock Machine’, sheds some light on the controversial experiments which were performed behind closed doors.
