
An amazing discovery was made in South-West Queensland recently which has given folks at Queensland Museum something to jump up and down about.
Scientists have unearthed fossilised remains of up to 40 giant marsupials, known as Diprotodon, which is believed to be the largest marsupial to ever live.
The ancient animal, which grew up to 3 metres long and 2 tonnes, is a species of Australian Megafauna that roamed our country over 40,000 years ago. This morning we spoke with Dr. Gavin Prideaux from the Flinders School of Biological Sciences to learn more about the ancient inhabitants of Australia.
