We often hear about Australia passing new milestones in the rate of obesity, particularly in children. But one South Australian town is stepping up and doing what it can to change this trend.
About a year ago teens in Yankalilla, south of Adelaide, signed up to take part in a fitness program called Run Yank Run, with the prize at the end of their hard work being a free trip to Queensland to take part in the Gold Coast Marathon.
16-year-old Sam Lavers has just returned from running the Gold Coast marathon and spoke to Angus Randall about the journey there.
