Sam Dastyari, General Secretary of the NSW Labor Party has ignited a political storm between his party and the Greens. Over the weekend he publicly described some of their policies to be “bordering on loony” and criticised their “refusal to compromise”.
Dastyari called for the Greens to be preferenced last on Labor how-to-vote cards. As you’d expect Greens leader Christine Milne has hit back, and there is now potential for one of Australia’s strongest political alliances to crumble.
