Professor Fiona Wood, a specialist in burns care for more than 20 years, came to prominence in the aftermath of the 2002 Bali bombings where she helped save the lives of 28 burns patients.
She has also been instrumental in the development, with Marie Stoner, of what has been termed “spray-on skin”.
Professor Wood will be a keynote speaker at the National Australian Conference on Evidence-Based Clinical Leadership, and she spoke to Tim Brunero this morning.
