Go Red For Women

Yesterday marked the first day of the National Heart Foundation’s Healthy Heart Challenge, a ten week program aimed at helping Australian women take control of their heart health.

Heart disease is the number one killer of Australian women and kills four times as many women as breast cancer. This challenge aims to help women take small, yet realistic steps to change their lifestyle and gain a healthier heart.

The Healthy Heart Challenge is part of the Heart Foundations Go Red For Women campaign, which aims to increase awareness of heart disease as the main cause of death in Australian women.

To tell us more about the Go Red for Women campaign, we were joined by Heart Foundation SA’s Director of Cardiovascular Health, Wendy Keech.
