Atheist Convention comes to Australia

Well, I don’t know about you, but in recent years I’ve noticed a sweeping trend of godlessness sweeping across Western civilisation.
A couple of decades ago atheists kept their heretical views to themselves while Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists were free to bang on as much as they liked.
But that’s no longer the case.

The Global Atheist Convention is perhaps the most striking example of this change in attitude and next April the convention will be held in Melbourne.

A veritable who’s who of atheists will be there including Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, Ayaan Hirsi Ali and many, many more.
And they’re trying to recruit minors!  Ten free tickets are being made available for any secondary school student in the country.

Tim Brunero spoke to Jason Ball, Spokesperson for the Atheist Foundation of Australia and one of the organisers of the 2012 Global Atheist Convention about the difference between an Atheist and a Satanist.
