Eddi Reader Coming to Womadelaide

You know your band has made it to the big time when one of your songs is used in a TV advertisement. This was exactly the case for Scottish 80’s band Fairground Attraction, whose hit song “Perfect” was used in Dulux paint adverts in the early 90s.
Fast forward a few decades, and the woman behind that unforgettable voice, Eddi Reader, has been enjoying a stellar solo career. She is so talented she was even awarded an MBE for her classic album “Songs For Robert Burns”.
Fortunately for us, Eddi will be coming to town for Womadelaide in March, and Tim Brunero spoke to her about her performance at a recent “Burns Night”, and the inspiration for her music.
