Protecting Vulnerable Children: Can we rise to the challenge?

Catherine Helen Spence was Australia’s first female political candidate, and a campaigner for the rights of children. Her work is commemorated in the Catherine Helen Spence Oration.

This year’s Oration was by Emeritus Professor, Dorothy Scott, the Director of the Australian Centre for Child Protection at the University of South Australia.

Today we hear her plea for re-contextualising how we think about the role of children in society.
