Have you ever envisaged our Rundle Mall bustling with locals early in the morning and late into the night? If you’ve ever been in the area outside of trading hours you’d be forgiven for mistaking our quiet city for a ghost town.
Fred Hansen, a former Thinker In Residence and now head of the State Governments Urban Renewal Board, has ideas to increase the residential population of the area to bring a little more life to Rundle Mall (and the Adelaide city) after-hours.
We spoke with Fred this morning about his visions for new urban living in the Rundle Mall block.
