Seeking asylum and mental health.

With all the debate surrounding the arrival of asylum seekers on Australian shores and the immigration process, there’s little real discussion of what happens when they get out.

Associate Professor Suresh Sundram from the Mental Health Research Institute has been doing some research with the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, and has found that many of those released into the community are not very well indeed.

Tim Brunero speaks to Professor Sundram about the problem.
