Fourteen year fight for native title

It’s taken fourteen years, but the Arabana people have now been granted native title over Lake Eyre.

The claim covers an area around one-and-a-half times the size of Switzerland, and is the biggest land trade in modern history.

Lawyer Stephen Kenny has played a role in this title claim since day one, and in that time also defended David Hicks along with other major human rights cases.

Angus Randall spoke to Stephen about the long fight for this decision and what it means for the Arabana people.
