Recognize, Respect, Reconcile

Since the Commonwealth of Australia was established in 1901 there has been no official mention of Indigenous Australians in the South Australian or Federal Constitution.

Earlier this week Jay Weatherill announced that he would be forming a committee or plan how to best acknowledge the First Australians in the state constitution.

But will this bring about fundamental change or is it purely superficial?

Tim Brunero spoke with Mark Waters from Reconciliation SA about the constitutional change.
