Yesterday, the Murray Darling Basin Authority released the latest version of its reform plan, which kept the amount of water to be returned to the system each year at 2,750 billion litres.
This should have been a positive announcement, however it seems no one is happy with this report. The Greens have condemned the report, as has Federal Water Minister Tony Burke. The State Government are reportedly in talks about the legitimacy of the proposed plan and the potential for High Court Action.
