“HYPA” Houses the Homeless

Launched by HYPA (Helping Young People Achieve) this week, 32 new apartments have become available to help house South Australia’s homeless youth in Adelaide’s northern and western suburbs.

The new HYPA Housing apartments in Smithfield, Munno Para West and Mansfield Park are aimed at offering safe, affordable “mid-term” housing for young men and women aged 17-25 who are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

This morning we spoke with SYC (Service to Youth Council) CEO Paul Edginton regarding what the SYC and HYPA hope to achieve with this initiative.
