Pneumonia: putting the silent P into killer

The wintery weather has truly set in, and the fear of the dreaded cold or flu stalks around every corner.

But as you stock up on Kleenex and let the hand sanitiser flow, spare a moment to consider Pneumonia, as we leap into Pneumonia Awareness Week.

Professor Robert Booy is the head of the clinical research team and the National Centre for Immunisation Research and Surveillence in Sydney. He spoke to Tim Brunero about just how common pneumonia can be.
