Gorging for gold

With only 24 days to go until the London 2012 Olympics, what the Olympians eat can make a big difference to their performance.

While the athletes have their diets sorted the rest of us are pretty interested to know what goes into their bellies.

Tim Brunero spoke with Professor John Hawley, the head of the Exercise Metabolism Research Group in RMIT’s School of Medical Sciences, who knows a thing or two about how diet and training interventions affect athletic performance.
