SA pollution runs deep

Our streets might seem clean, and we may think we’re breathing in fresh air, but did you know that deep down, Adelaide has a serious soil and groundwater contamination problem?

For 150 years South Australia has been offloading waste into the ground, which is now surfacing a number of geological, environmental and health problems.

It’s a problem Europe addressed back around World War 2, so why have we left it so late?

Angus Randall spoke to Peter Dolan from the Environmental Protection Agency to find out!
