With the 18th Sydney Biennale taking place right now in and around the city of Sydney, there are more than a few exciting pieces of contemporary artwork to indulge in and appreciate in our harbour city at the moment.
The world famous festival – celebrating the finest contemporary art – is being featured in venues around Cockatoo Island, the Art Gallery of NSW, the Museum of Contemporary Art and Piers 2-3 in the Rocks. Sure, it’s an exciting prospect to get along and view some of the worlds finest works of art but one festival goer is already reveling in the thought of what the 2014 Biennale could bring.
This person we speak of is Juliana Engberg, the current Melbourne ACCA Artistic Director and newly appointed artistic director for the 2014 Sydney Biennale. We had the pleasure of speaking with Juliana this morning about what she thinks of the world famous event and her plans in making the 2014 Biennale the biggest and best yet.
