Green Alliance to walk 300km for renewable Port Augusta

We’ve seen Olympic walking, street walking, but environment walking? Port Augusta stands at a crossroad as its coal power stations are set to close. Tim Kelly from Conservation SA wants them to be replaced with a renewable energy source like thermal power or a combined cycle gas plant.

Port Augusta residents voted for their preferred renewable power source and thermal energy came out on top by a massive margin. Conservation SA CEO Tim Kelly joined presenter Tim Brunero with the full rundown of the campaign.
