Tippett out with objections, Koch welcomed with applause

Adelaide Crows supporters were disappointed to hear that talented forward Kurt Tippett will not be returning to the club in 2013, reportedly turning down a 5 year contract worth $3 million. The race is now on for other clubs to nab the Crows stalwart. Interested clubs include the Gold Coast Suns, Carlton Blues, Brisbane Lions and the Sydney Swans.

In other big SA footy news, Sunrise Presenter David Koch has been announced as the new President of Port Adelaide. Hoping to bring his business skill and solid east-coast networks to the ailing club, Koch fills one of the five board positions recently vacated. Hopefully the shakeup will unify the Port Adelaide FC so it can move forward.

Temporarily promoted to the rank of Sports Guru, Bill Walter joined Angus to discuss the Crows, the shake-up at Port Adelaide, the SANFL grand final, the come from behind European Ryder Cup win and the launch of next year’s Australian Open.
