Refugees and the “Pacific Solution”

When the Government decided on offshore processing on August 13th, they said it would deter the boats from arriving on our shores, but since then 4016 asylum seekers have arrived by boat.

The United Nations has expressed concerns of disaster, and when the combined capacity of the Nauru and Papua New Guinea centres is just 2100, it may be time to ask whether the “Pacific Solution” is really solving anything.
