Breast Cancer Research

Many of us would know someone that has been diagnosed with cancer or perhaps have been diagnosed ourselves.

In Australia, Breast cancer is the most common invasive cancer. It affects 1 in 8 women under the age of 85 and around 13 and a around 500 women are diagnosed with it each year.

So what if there was a cure? University of Adelaide researcher, Natasha McInnes – a finalist in the Young Investigator Awards – has been working on a breast cancer-fighting gene and Angus Randall spoke to her to find out more.
