Fight for Women’s Rights

In the last month we have seen a young Pakistani girl shot in the head for advocating girls education, and just last week an Afghan girl beheaded for rejecting prostitution.

These horrific stories make headlines around the world and concern many on a global scale. But how much is actually being done to change these violations? and what role should western feminists be playing in the fight for women’s rights?

Bill Walter spoke to columnist and author of Muslim Women Reformers: Inspiring Voices Against Oppression, Ida Lichter about her views on western action.
