From rooster to feather duster

Shock-jock Alan Jones continues to dominate Australian radio ratings despite the scandal surrounding comments he made about Prime Minister Julia Gillard’s father last month.

But while his ratings are high, advertisers continue to abandon the show, with around 60 national brands withdrawing funding from “Breakfast” and some from the whole station. Mercedes Benz even took away Jones’s $250,000 dollar car.

To tell us how is this drop in advertising is affecting 2GB and the radio industry as a whole, editor of Radio Info, Peter Saxon, who has been in radio for 40 years  spoke to Angus Randall.
