BHP Billiton – an alternative view

The Annual General Meeting for BHP Billiton is being held in Sydney today and it will no doubt focus on what it considers its successes – profits, expansions and returns to investors.

However for the last few years, several environmental Non Government Organisations have put forward an ‘Alternative Annual Report’,  which focuses on BHP Billiton’s performance in areas such as climate change responsibility, water contamination and treatment of Indigenous Communities around the world.

Nectaria Calan from ‘Friends of the Earth’, spoke to Angus Randall this morning.
