Gallipoli: the start of Australian War Journalism

Almost a hundred years ago this month ANZAC forces were pulled off of the shores of Turkey. We all know about the heroism and courage of the soldiers, but what about the journalists, doctors and civilians involved?

Dr Nigel Starck has been working with a variety of academics on studying the First World War and the parts played by non combatants.

Angus Randall spoke with Dr Starck about his new book “Legacies of War” the people involved in writing it and of course the stories behind it.
