According to the United Nations, nearly 12,000 Afghan citizens have been killed between 2007 and 2011.
It is clear that life in Afghanistan is dangerous, particularly for Afghans who are employed by the Australian Government in defense roles.
In response, the Australian Government has proposed a new resettlement program for those at risk.
